What is the Global Email Control System?

This service prevents Lenovo marketers from sending email to individuals who do not wish to receive email communication from Lenovo.

All Lenovo marketers who wish to send commercial/unsolicited email must process their email lists through this service prior to sending that email.

Why does Lenovo require the use of the Global Email Control System?

According to Lenovo’s privacy practices, it is important that any individual who has expressly indicated that he or she does not want to receive Lenovo communication is suppressed from receiving any commercial/unsolicited email.

How does the Global Email Control System work for marketers?

This email cleansing service houses a suppression database. This database is not shared, visible or released to anyone. All processing is done internally.

Through this tool, Lenovo marketers have the ability to upload lists and have them electronically processed to separate the "clean" email addresses from the "suppressed" ones. At the process’s completion, a notification is sent to the marketers to pick-up the results of the process.

All processing occurs securely and users can upload/pick-up files directly through the online tool.
